Next Generation Honoree: Cox Castle’s Amir Sadr Becomes an Authority on a Niche Industry

Amir Sadr wasn’t alone among attorneys in recognizing early on the significance that the emerging cannabis industry in California would have on their clients and the greater California economy. However, he took that awareness a step further, becoming an authority and invaluable resource in a niche industry before most institutional law firms had considered establishing a practice around it. For example, Sadr presented at the Connect Los Angeles 2018 conference on “California’s Marijuana Laws & What They Mean for You,” and he authored a three-part online series for Connect.

Those are just some of the reasons we chose Sadr to be one of the California 2018 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s second annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Leadership comes naturally to Sadr, and it has carried over from his presidency of the UCLA Real Estate Law Association while in law school, into his professional career with Cox Castle & Nicholson. He was selected to participate on the firm’s recruiting committee and has been instrumental in interviewing, evaluating and selecting successive generations of summer associates at the firm. He also devotes considerable time seeking out opportunities to lead and inspire others within the firm, while continuing to establish himself as a real estate professional industry-wide.
