Next Generation: Alecia Burdick, Savills Studley-Austin

Alecia Burdick, who joined Savills Studley (then KMD Studley) in 2013, has as her goal to help companies “create strategies for their real estate facilities, to help align their real estate with their businesses, keep ahead of competitors, retain employees and most importantly, reduce occupancy costs,” said John Scoblick, Savills Studley’s Corporate Managing Director in Austin.

Scoblick said that, when he knew Burdick, as an intern, “she was so determined to enter the field of commercial real estate . . . that she commuted from Austin to San Antonio (150 miles round trip) as a part-time, $10-per-hour student intern.” Even with that commute, she was in the office by 8 a.m., back on the road by noon and in class by 2 p.m. At one point, Scoblick noted, she was taking 18 hours in classes – and took classes at night – to ensure she would remain at Savills Studley.
