2020 Next Generation Honoree: Metaprop’s Safi Aziz is an Information Broker

At 25 years old, Safi Aziz is credited with professional achievements surpassing those of his peers, and more on par with those many years his senior. Zach Aarons, co-founder and general partner at MetaProp, says, “Safi is an information broker between innovative startups and established institutions. He has an ability to connect dots and make lines and drive the real estate industry forward.”

At MetaProp, Aziz has pioneered an entire process around the onboarding of limited partners. “They feel like they are getting this white glove, bespoke experience,” says Aarons. With what he instituted, LPs feel like “they are fitted for a suit on Savile Row.”

Aziz has also demonstrated leadership in the various initiatives he has done with the firm’s partners. Most recently, he co-led and managed a subject matter expert series of best practice sharing and education sessions. This project and others that Aziz developed have been achieved without much internal precedence. A hallmark of his ability is to “create while leading, a walk-and- chew-gum capability that many others don’t know how to do,” says Aaron Block, co-founder and managing partner.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Aziz to be one of the National 2020 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
