2020 Next Generation Honoree: Convene’s Peter Cha Expands Company Footprint

Peter Cha is a real estate associate for Convene, which designs and services premium work and event spaces. He manages a team that is responsible for assessing new real estate opportunities for Convene through extensive due diligence of the market and opportunity via coordination with various departments within the company.

Cha was able to secure the company’s first international property at 22 Bishopsgate, the tallest. building in London’s City financial district. Although this deal presented new challenges, Cha and his team facilitated a more dynamic market research approach to analyzing the company’s entrance into an international market.

Due in large part to the expertise that Cha has brought to bear, Convene has closed deals for 18 properties in four cities in the U.S. and one in the U.K: New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago and Philadelphia as well as London. He has executed nearly two million square feet of commercial real estate property deals while with Convene.

These are just a few reasons we chose Cha to be one of the New York 2020 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Cha identifies the strengths of his team members and empowers them to think strategically. He values transparency and leads by example. Peter values the knowledge his team brings and encourages his team to learn from one another, from one deal to the next.
