2020 Next Generation Honoree: Savills’ Patrick Brady Has Acumen for Analysis

Managing director at Savills in Chicago, Patrick Brady has applied his acumen for analysis and grasping the bigger picture to commercial real estate deals. While still attending Indiana University, he was asked to teach a class and found the real value of the experience was in finding common ground with each student while also learning the confidence and skills needed to be at the front of the lecture hall.

And while his post-graduation career search—in 2008, during the global financial crisis—led him to tenant advisory rather than the corporate consulting and finance he studied, he applied the principles he learned in those disciplines. At the time, more companies were emphasizing consultancy and Brady was ahead of the curve by implanting this strategy at the dawn of his career.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Brady as one of the Chicago 2020 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Vice chairman Lisa Davidson, who with Tiffany Winne recruited Brady to Savills in 2013, says, “He understands the importance of truly analyzing a business and its drivers, which allows him to have a truly versatile group of clients. He has worked on almost every kind of account ranging from law firms and professional services to not-for-profits and the local technology community. Clients from all different industries trust him to handle their real estate business.”
