2020 Next Generation Honoree: Cycamore Capital’s Johnny Din Has Built a Company

Johnny Din, CEO of Cycamore Capital, has successfully built an integrated New York City value-add multifamily and mixed-use real estate investment company. He believes that value creation is a combination of disciplined underwriting coupled with execution of a clearly defined business plan. That discipline and execution has enabled Din to acquire over 20 NYC properties since June 2017.

Din leads a team of 10 professionals at Cycamore Capital that handle project management, property management, asset management and leasing. After coming off an extraordinary 550% year-over-year revenue growth, Din nonetheless believes the best the opportunities are yet to come. Cycamore Capital is committed to expanding its portfolio to more than $250 million in assets.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Din as one of the New York 2020 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Din is a great believer in paying-it-forward for the next generation and is a board member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York Scholarship Foundation. He is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University, Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation; New York University, Schack Institute of Real Estate; and Fordham University, Real Estate Institute.
