2020 Next Generation Honoree: Newmark Knight Frank’s John Kelley a Key Appraiser in V&A Group

John A. Kelley III joined Newmark Knight Frank Valuation & Advisory (V&A) in 2018 and currently serves as VP in the Cleveland office. An eight-year hospitality and leisure real estate veteran, Kelley has become one of the key appraisers within NKF V&A’s Hospitality, Gaming & Leisure specialty practice group.

Kelley has substantial expertise in the valuation and advisory of amusements, convention and conference centers, hotels and resorts, waterparks and other leisure-related assets. He has completed appraisals and studies on assets ranging between $1 million to more than $300 million throughout the U.S. and the Middle East.

He came to NKF after three years with Cleveland-based Hotel & Leisure Advisors, and prior to that was a senior quality assurance consultant with LRA Worldwide, now owned by Deloitte. Kelley also has experience on the management side, having run Westin properties in Baltimore and Providence, RI.

These are just some of the reasons we chose Kelley to be one of the National 2020 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s fourth annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

In addition to his execution of client assignments, Kelley is a significant force in business development and mentorship of younger colleagues at NKF V&A. He also is an adjunct instructor and teaches courses related to hospitality management at Cuyahoga Community College and Bryant & Stratton College, and assists with course development.
