2020 Next Generation Honoree: Partner Engineering & Science, Inc.’s Brett Hayes Goes Above and Beyond
As a professional civil engineer and national client manager at Partner, Brett Hayes leverages his 12 years of engineering and construction experience to effectively guide his clients’ transactions through the various lifecycle stages, from initial due diligence and design to development, construction, and the ongoing maintenance and optimization of a real estate asset.
Serving both Chicago-based and national clients, Hayes understands the nuanced needs of a broad range of CRE stakeholders. They include equity and institutional investors such as The Laramar Group, Zaragon and Clear Height Properties; healthcare REITs and operators such as Ventas, Inc. and Lillibridge Healthcare Services; lenders and life companies such as BMO Harris Bank, Wintrust, Alliant Credit Union, and Northwestern Mutual; corporate and technology companies such as Lyft; and nonprofits such as YMCA.
No matter who he’s working with, Hayes is known for going above and beyond. For example, a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer client needed to speed up the due diligence process for its site selection – they needed to understand more quickly whether the site layout would work. Hayes and his team went beyond typical due diligence reports to provide as-built CAD drawings to speed up the feasibility process.
