Next Generation Honoree: InvenTrust’s Sarah Jordan Brings Energy, Personality to Leasing

Sarah Jordan is a focused deal maker with an impressive understanding of global company and property objectives. As a Leasing Representative at InvenTrust Properties Corp., Jordan handles leasing, renewals, relocations and expansions for more than 25 properties throughout the Southeast.

Called the “ultimate networker” by her colleagues, Jordan has the energy and personality to connect with tenants, brokers and internal support personnel to achieve substantial results. In one case, Sarah made multiple visits to the offices of a municipality to work through a special use permit process for a particular tenant. Without her effort and persistence, the lease would not have been finalized.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Jordan to be one of the Atlanta and Southeast region 2019 Next Generation Award Winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Another hallmark of Jordan’s skills is her outside-the-box thinking. This has been shown in instances where there was an underperforming tenant in place at a shopping center, and Jordan secured a more productive replacement tenant for the shopping center at higher income levels. She replaced a tenant paying a flat rent for the next seven years, with a tenant that paid an additional $4.00 per square foot with bi-annual escalations for a new 10-year term.
