Next Generation Honoree: DOC’s Ryan Yetzer Tests the Status Quo
Ryan Yetzer has been capital projects manager for Physicians Realty Trust (DOC) since 2016. He has worked diligently to plan, implement and execute a capital expenditure process from the ground up for a multimillion-dollar annual capital construction budget, creating significant value for the REIT’s shareholders and the tenants of its buildings. This value takes the form of increased market value of the real estate, along with enhanced building functionality that supports DOC tenants’ efforts to provide high-quality healthcare.
That’s just one of the reasons we chose Yetzer to be one of the National 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
Yetzer works with a broad variety of internal and external peers and team members, working diligently with each to balance priorities, timelines and financial requirements. This approach drives identification of multiple options and opportunities, often leading to superior results. Colleagues say Yetzer continually tests the status quo, utilizing internal and external sources to compare, contrast and challenge potential outcomes with the intent of identifying new ones.
For instance, he proactively identifies, evaluates and prioritizes resources and assets outside of the organization that result in positive impacts upon policy and procedure within DOC. Examples would include identifying Healthy Buildings, Clarizen and Measurabl as third-party providers to support DOC’s sustainability endeavors and goals.
