Next Generation Honoree: Clients Count on Blanton Turner’s Nils Hostage for Asset Strategies, Business Plans

Blanton Turner’s Nils Hostage started out as a leasing agent at the firm’s largest residential community, and quickly grew into a financial analyst shifting to the company’s commercial team. After 1½ years in that role, his talent, skillset, ability to learn and obtain information at a rapid speed, along with in-depth knowledge of financial tools and industry software programs, helped him rise within the ranks at Blanton Turner to Finance Manager.

He now handles all financial analysis, budgeting, reforecasts, distributions, cash flow projects and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting. In addition, Hostage’s pace, attention to details and impressive knowledge of Excel has thrust him into a leadership role in all predevelopment and acquisitions covering proformas, due diligence and budgets.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Hostage to be one of the Seattle & Pacific Northwest 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Since the start of 2019, Hostage has been taking the primary point of contact lead with select clients from the financial end. Hostage brings a creative mind and unique ability to distill down complex financial information into an understandable and digestible format for clients. Asset strategy and business planning flow out of his ability to concisely and thoroughly communicate, provide accurate deliverables, and astutely understand the big picture on value-add opportunities.
