Next Generation Honoree: Mike Longo’s a Top Performing Builder at CBRE

Mike Longo is an investment sales professional and part of the CBRE Investment Properties Institutional Group, a unit responsible for helping to manage the disposition of institutional commercial property across the West Coast. Longo specializes in complex institutional commercial transactions in Southern California.

Together with his regional partners, Sean Sullivan and Todd Tydlaska, he oversees a team of 10 investment professionals. Since joining CBRE in 2010, Longo has been involved in more than $12 billion of commercial investment sales. Some of the significant recent transactions include the $215-million sale of Glendale Plaza, the $182-million disposition of 6500 Wilshire, the sale of 400 S. Hope for $335 million to CBRE Global Investors, and the sale of the Farmers Insurance HQ for $91 million.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Longo to be one of the California 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

While Longo has achieved tremendous transaction accomplishments, he is also active in the local community. That includes part-time teaching at USC and Loyola Marymount, regular participation in industry panels, multiple charity organizations, to the CBRE mentor program. Longo is clearly interested not just in real estate, but helping his community grow and in creating a network of opportunities for younger professionals.
