Next Generation Honoree: Kyle Kite Flies High at Lake Union Partners

Kyle Kite is known as a bright, outside-of-the-box thinker who brings unique approaches to problem-solving and deal-making to Lake Union Partners, an urban real estate firm specializing in residential mixed-use and commercial projects in metropolitan markets throughout the Pacific Northwest. The acquisitions associate consistently and creatively connects with all members of the real estate development chain, from land owners to brokers, consultants and other developers, to bring deals together that otherwise would not work.

His creativity and thoughtfulness around what pencils for all parties allows Lake Union Partners to perform work many others either won’t look at or have been unsuccessful at. His background in debt financing has been instrumental in bringing an understanding to the parties involved in a transaction, especially what financing restrictions make a deal work.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Kite to be one of the Seattle & Pacific Northwest 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Kite is responsible for sourcing new acquisitions, conducting feasibility and market analysis, as well as developing complex financial models from inception through stabilization. Even though he is regularly the youngest person in a room, Kite’s knowledge, command of subjects and willingness to listen has proved instrumental in some of the firm’s successes. By combining his entrepreneurial spirit with his debt background, Kite has provided creative structures and partnership opportunities to the firm.
