Next Generation Honoree: JLL’s Katie Fernandez-Espinosa is Mixed-Use Leasing Pioneer

Fernandez-Espinosa has the unique background and skill-set to look at each space within a project and intuitively understand what type of tenant is best suited to the owners’ financial and place-making goals.
In the face of the often publicized “retailpocalypse,” Katie moved asset classes into retail and mixed-use leasing from office leasing, by embracing the evolution of the way people are now living. Katie has embraced an asset class in evolution and seized the opportunity to embrace the change.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Fernandez-Espinosa to be one of the Florida region 2019 Next Generation Award Winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.
Recognized by her peers as one of the hardest working agents in the market, Fernandez-Espinosa is a pioneer in understanding how different components of a project can impact the greater place, and is well deserving of recognition for her work.
