Next Generation Honoree: Ytech’s Gustavo Barros is Hardworking, Intelligent Team Leader

Gustavo Barros has met and exceeded acquisition and performance goals by 45 percent, and has secured more than $300 million in financing during his tenure at Ytech. He is currently vice president and investment officer at the real estate development and investment firm.

Recognized by his colleagues as the hardest working member of any team he is a part of, Barros is known to spend long days overseeing Ytech’s accounting, treasury, information systems and risk management, while continuously advancing his education. This fall, Barros will attend the Harvard Business School’s Executive Education General Management Program, to expand his leadership skills, confidence and vision.

Barros is skilled at identifying an opportunity or problem and tackling it with creativity, intelligence and an ownership mindset. He has successfully repositioned and repurposed a number of properties by guiding his team into endeavors that follow out-of-the-box initiatives driven by local area data trends and demographics.
