Next Generation Honoree: Urban Renaissance Group’s Caleb Hurley Takes Initiative and Responsibility for Assets

Urban Renaissance Group’s (URG) Caleb Hurley, who serves as a Stationary Operating Engineer in Bellevue, is a driven self-starter who never fails to take initiative and go above and beyond. He has been with URG for five years, and has consistently shown he is well-suited for leadership.

He joined URG as a Maintenance Technician at the iconic Second & Seneca building in downtown Seattle, and has since advanced to Engineer II position at Eastgate Office Park, a four-building office campus on a 14-acre site in Bellevue. He hit the ground running in his new role, jump-starting important projects and familiarizing himself with the campus and its needs quickly. Hurley has shown himself to be a fast learner who has proven his ability to mentor new maintenance technicians and engineers.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Hurley to be one of the Seattle & Pacific Northwest 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Hurley recently stepped up and performed an Operational Audit without being asked, because he saw that there were issues that needed to be documented and addressed. He has consistently proven to be a motivated and task-oriented individual, who is eager to learn and take on more responsibility.

One of the ways URG seeks to differentiate itself is by treating each building as if it were their own. Hurley has truly embodied this approach at the properties he’s been assigned. He takes personal responsibility for how the properties look and feel, and how smoothly systems run in a way that is not common in the industry.
