Next Generation Honoree: Alexander Harrold Takes Reins of Matthews’ Industrial Division

Matthews Real Estate Investment Services’ Alex Harrold is an Associate Vice President and Senior Director of Matthews Industrial, a role in which he serves as a leader of the industrial division and specializes in advisory consulting and disposition of industrial properties nationwide. The 24-year-old’s exceptional success is due to a mixture of several factors, one of which is his entrepreneurial mindset.

Harrold leads a team of brokers who service top developers, REITs, and private clients across the country. As a top investment professional at the firm, he wears several hats, which include recruiting and training junior brokers, setting the vision for the industrial group, mentoring and growing internal industrial services, motivating and challenging the team, and participating in and attending CRE events globally.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Harrold to be one of the California 2019 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s third annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

On the deal front, Harrold has proven his mettle as well in his short three-year CRE career. He earned Matthews’ Rookie of the Year award in 2017. He also won the Matthews Sales Achievement Award, an award given only to the company’s top agents. Since 2017, Harrold has closed $120 million in sale volume, totaling in excess of two million square feet of real estate.
