NexCore Opens Life Science Facility in Irvine

Healthcare developer NexCore Group and life science real estate development platform HATCHspaces, have completed a full transformation of an Irvine, CA office building to HATCHlabs @ Irvine Spectrum, a specialized, purpose-built life science facility. The building offers eight turnkey lab suites on the second floor and a first-floor lab-enabled shell space.

“We know it’s a challenge for emerging life science companies to find space that functions at the highest technical level and delivers a quality creative environment,” said Todd Varney, NexCore Chief Development Officer and Managing Partner. “We are thrilled to work with HATCHspaces on this unique project and look forward to continued, impactful collaborations.”

The facility features a two-story lobby, glass roll-up doors, outdoor community spaces, conference rooms and shower room. Specialized infrastructure includes heavy power upgrades, distributed backup power, high capacity air handling systems and fully fit-out lab casework across the second floor.
