NewQuest adding residential to its Katy mixed-use project

NewQuest Residential Adding Rental Community to Katy Mixed-Use Project

With the groundwork in place, NewQuest Residential, an affiliate of NewQuest Properties, will kick off construction in late September on its first housing project – a $62 million, 294-unit multifamily development in the Grand at Aliana in Fort Bend County.

The apartment project will be part of the mixed-use enterprise for NewQuest Properties’ 475,000-square foot Grand at Aliana in Katy. It includes a collection of shops, dining and medical services along with land in reserve for future development, including entertainment space. The project is 99%-leased. The residential project is slated for completion in June 2025.

The class A development will sit on 11 acres. The development calls for 11 two- and three-story residential buildings and a clubhouse/leasing center. The unit mix will consist of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 594 sf to 1,482 square feet. Amenities include a swimming pool, fitness facility, business center with co-working spaces and conference room, event space, grilling stations and an outdoor lounge with fire pits.
