Newmark Opens All U.S. Offices

Newmark fully reopened its offices on June 1 across the country, with all employees expected to return to the office. Greg May, Newmark Southwest market leader, says there are several reasons behind Newmark’s decision to fully return to the office.

Primarily, given the vaccination rollout, Newmark believes now is the time to safely have everyone return to the office.

“We go where our clients go. We have to be there for our clients, in person,” says May. “Our professionals are ambitious personally and we are ambitious in what we can accomplish together. Collaboration is better and more effective in person.”

And, the return-to-work stance is in lockstep with the momentum in New York City, where Newmark is headquartered. Financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald also set a June 1 date for all U.S. front-office staff to return in person to full-time work, and Newmark Group Inc., a Cantor affiliate, is following suit.

“Newmark will welcome and expect everyone back in the office in person from June 1st, subject to CDC and state and local guidelines,” Deb Bergman, a Newmark spokeswoman, said in an emailed statement.
