Newmark More Than Triples Footprint at 125 Park Ave.

Newmark signed a 15-year, 144,418-square-foot renewal and expansion lease at SL Green Realty Corp.’s 125 Park Ave in Midtown Manhattan., increasing its current footprint to 184,239 square feet. The commercial real estate services firm was represented in-house by Jason Perla, Brian Waterman, David Waterman and Matthew Schreiner.

“We are pleased to extend our valued relationship with Newmark,” said Steven Durels, EVP, director of leasing and real property at SL Green. “This is another example of the continued strength of the Midtown Manhattan office market, which is showing significant tenant demand for high quality space near Grand Central Terminal.”

125 Park is more than 99% leased as SL Green finalizes the design of a new lobby and restoration of the building’s entrance to its original design. Completed in 1923, the building is designated a New York City landmark for its “significant contribution to the variety and richness of Midtown East.”
