Calabasas, CA-based retail center owner and developer NewMark Merrill has purchased Corbin & Parthenia shopping center, an 84,000-square-foot retail center in Northridge, CA. The acquisition of the shopping center is the eighth NewMark Merrill owns and/or manages in the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The firm plans to enhance the center with investments in deferred maintenance, property upgrades and improvements on the customer experience. NewMark Merrill will also promote the center’s businesses and operators and put together events that cater to the neighborhood.

“Despite the evolving economy, we believe that Corbin & Parthenia is integral to the community, a community our company has resided in and served for almost 40 years,” said NewMark Merrill CEO Sandy Sigal. 

Located just two miles from Cal State Northridge, Corbin & Parthenia features several community-driven tenants including Office Depot, Brent’s Deli, Finmark Floor Coverings, Northridge Beauty Bar and Yaheli Skin Care Products.
