Newmark Lists Home of Contemporary Jewish Museum

Newmark has been selected to market for sale 736 Mission St. in San Francisco, home of The Contemporary Jewish Museum (The CJM). Executive managing director Mark Geisreiter, senior managing director Seth McKinnon and director Josh Peterson are the listing agents.

The sale is intended to support The CJM’s plan to ensure a sustainable and impactful future for the Yerba Buena neighborhood cultural district. The CJM plans to exit the building at closing.

“We are honored to support The CJM as it takes this thoughtful next step toward achieving a sustainable operating model,” said Geisreiter. “Mindful of the building’s legacy, our focus is to identify the right steward whose program complements the Yerba Buena neighborhood cultural district and will serve San Francisco for decades to come.”

He continued, “This is a generational opportunity for the right organization to acquire a world-class, museum-quality building in one of San Franciso’s most important locations, and we expect strong demand from a variety of potential buyers.”
