Newmark Expands in Midwest with MLG Commercial Acquisition

Newmark Group, which operates the NKF platform globally, has closed on the acquisition of MLG Commercial LLC, a Milwaukee-based commercial real estate company offering both brokerage and property management services in Wisconsin.

Deal terms were not disclosed. The acquisition further strengthens Newmark Group’s position in the Midwest.

“We have a proven track record of acquiring companies, seamlessly integrating teams and enabling them to thrive under the NKF brand,” said Newark Group CEO Barry Gosin. “MLG emerged as a perfect fit because the team is similarly growth-minded and focused on excellent client services.”

Founded in 1987, MLG specializes in sale, lease, acquisition and property management of industrial, office, retail and multifamily properties and has two offices, located in Madison and Milwaukee. Prior to the acquisition by New York City-based Newmark, Barry Chavin, Jack Jacobson, John Malloy, Stephen Provancher, Brian Vanevenhoven and Bruce Westling were owners of MLG and are among its top-producing brokers.
