Newmark Brokers Sale of 840-Bed Student Housing Asset in Orlando

Newmark has arranged the sale of Mercury 3100, a 228-unit, 840-bed student housing asset located nearby the University of Central Florida in Orlando. The sales price was not disclosed.

Mercury 3100 offers modern amenities including a sun deck, resort-style pool, basketball court, 24-hour fitness gym and a computer center. The University of Central Florida boasts an enrollment of over 71,948 students for Fall 2020, making it the largest university by enrollment in Florida and one of the largest universities in the nation.

Newmark vice chairman and head of the firm’s Student Housing Group Ryan Lang along with associate director Jack Brett and senior managing director Scott Ramey represented the seller, Investcorp, a global real estate investment manager, in the transaction. New York-based Blackstone Real Estate Services acquired the property.
