Newmark Arranges Retail Deal for Wilson Sporting Goods in SoHo
Newmark Retail arranged a long-term 7,163-square-foot lease for Wilson Sporting Goods at GFP Real Estate’s 594 Broadway. In addition to the store, Wilson wlil open a pop-up in connection with the U.S. Open in mid-August.
The heritage sports brand is set to open a select collection of retail concepts nationally, with its first New York outpost in SoHo. Newmark vice chairmen Ariel Schuster and Ben Birnbaum with associate director Andrew Taub represented the landlord, while Schuster and Vela Retail Advisors’ Jessica Connolly represented Wilson.
The lease follows the launch of Wilson Sportswear this past spring. It will be sold on Wilson’s website and at its retail locations in key markets.
“SoHo is the perfect setting for Wilson’s flagship store and will allow its millions of current customers to experience the brand in person,” said Schuster. “We’re confident that the store will become a must-see for both New Yorkers and tourists.”
