Newell Takes Another 466K SF at Stirling’s SCLA Victorville
Stirling Development executed a 466,255-square-foot lease expansion with Newell Brands at Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA), an 8,500-acre multimodal freight transportation hub in Victorville, CA. This is Newell’s second expansion since it signed its original lease for 407,600 square feet in 2006, and brings its footprint at the property to 1,050,667 square feet.
Stirling Development’s Brian Parno says, “Newell’s expansion at SCLA is a testament to the continued economic growth and logistical advantages of locating in the Inland Empire’s High Desert region.”
Stirling plans to break ground this month on the expansion at Distribution Centre 3, and expects Newell to take full occupancy in March 2019. Once complete, the building will feature 78 dock high doors with a 36-foot-clear height. Lease terms at the new building run through 2029.
CBRE’s Jay Dick and Dedrik Pharis handle leasing for the landlord. Newell was self-represented.
