Mintwood Finishes First Dallas Multifamily Project

Newcomer Builder Mintwood Completes First Dallas Apartment Project

Mintwood is completing construction of the 55-unit 212 Melba Apartments located between the Bishop Arts District and the new rooftop park on Oak Cliff, with another on the way. Designed by Dallas-based architect Omniplan, the four-story boutique rental project has replaced an older multi-family building.

“We love the infrastructure and facilities that are in urban settings,” said Mintwood’s Katie Slade, “We think that’s the kind of neighborhood people want to be in – around creative restaurants and a walking area.” As befitting an infill development, the builders went for compact spaces, the smallest units have just over 500 square feet and rent for less than $1,300 per month.

Mintwood has just submitted building permits for an upcoming development on Oak Cliff. The 219-unit rental community, called Oakhouse, will be a mixed-income project with half of the rooms for tenants at 80% of ADI. The six-story building, which includes a pool, lounge area, fitness center, and skyline lounge will open in 2024.
