Unispace Life Sciences announced the appointment of Daniel Maldonado as managing director, Americas. Maldonado has three decades of international construction experience. Part of Unispace Group, the company specializes in designing and building life sciences facilities, offices, and other purpose-driven spaces globally.
The Brooklyn Home Company (TBHCo) announced the launch of sales at 524 Halsey Street, a former stable building transformed into luxury condominiums in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The boutique development offers 31 one- to three-bedroom residences. Amenities include concierge services, a fitness center, a landscaped roof deck, and curated artwork by local Brooklyn artists. Pricing starts at $985,000. Sales are managed by Lindsay Barton Barrett of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
ArcLight Capital Partners and Elevate Renewables have announced a landmark battery storage project at the Arthur Kill Power Station in Staten Island, NY. The 15 MW/60 MWh facility will replace generation set to retire in 2025, becoming New York City’s largest battery storage installation. It will power over 10,000 households during peak demand periods, supporting the city’s electric grid and clean energy goals.
Lester Shaw & Levy LLP has represented Dayglo Presents, a live music and media company led by Peter Shapiro, in securing a triple net lease for the Bearsville Theater at 291 Tinker Street in Woodstock, New York. The 10,900-square-foot venue, recently renovated and privately owned, will operate under Dayglo Presents starting June 1, featuring national headliners.
Accordia has been appointed as the third-party manager for three medical office buildings in Montvale, New Jersey. The properties include 160 Summit Avenue, a 32,000-square-foot building; 305 West Grand Avenue, a 27,163-square-foot building; and 50 Craig Road, a 14,000-square-foot building.
K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel has signed a 15-year lease for a 16,187-square-foot location at 295 Front Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The lease includes an option to extend for another five years. The luxury pet hotel, part of a franchise with locations across the U.S. and Canada, will mark its first New York City outpost. The asking rent was $42 per square foot. Raj Whadwa and Frank Dasaro of Global Realty Services represented the tenant. The historic building, converted to office and retail in 2018, has also recently leased space to Marlow Events and Ember Charter Schools.
