  • Rose Community Capital, a Jonathan Rose Companies affiliate focused on the origination, underwriting, and placement of FHA-insured multifamily mortgages, appointed Alex Holverson as managing director and senior loan originator, based in New York. Holverson brings over a decade of experience financing and developing affordable multifamily housing across the U.S. Most recently, he served as acquisitions and development officer at Dawson Holdings, a West Coast-based developer specializing in HUD- and USDA-subsidized housing.  
  • M&T Realty Capital Corporation appointed Andrew Cohen and Shane Hogan as SVPs of loan originations. Both will be based in the firm’s New York City office and will focus on nationwide loan origination leveraging a variety of capital sources, including agency, bridge and M&T Bank capabilities. 
  • SitusAMC, a provider of strategic outsourcing, advisory, talent, and technology solutions to the real estate finance industry, appointed Joseph (Joe) McBride as senior director, revenue within the firm’s CRE division. He joins SitusAMC from Moody’s Analytics, where he served as Senior Director and Head of Information Solutions. During his tenure, he led product development and go-to-market strategy for CRE data products, including Moody’s first CRE GenAI product. Prior to Moody’s, he spent over a decade at Trepp, where he held various roles, most recently as head of CRE finance. 
  • Lightstone Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) V has appointed industry veteran Bruce Schanzer to its board of directors. In this role, Schanzer will contribute strategic insight and oversight, drawing on his extensive experience in real estate investment and REIT management.

Paul Bubny serves as Senior Content Director for Connect Commercial Real Estate, a role to which he brings 16-plus years’ experience covering the commercial real estate industry and 30-plus years in business-to-business journalism. In this capacity, he oversees daily operations while also reporting on both local/regional markets and national trends, covering individual transactions across all property types, as well as delving into broader subject matter. He produces 7-10 daily news stories per day and works with the Connect team and clients to develop longer-form content, ranging from Q&As to thought-leadership pieces. Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
