  • Cushman & Wakefield has hired Sherry Freitas as the new president of Asset Services Multifamily. She will oversee operations across the U.S., leading a business of more than 4,000 people who serve residential property management clients to maximize impact. Freitas joins the firm with more than 20 years of experience. 
  • Blackstone Mortgage Trust, Inc. appointed institutional investor and industry leader Jean Hsu to its board of directors. With more than 25 years of global investment experience across fixed income, real estate, private credit and structured products, Hsu most recently served as head of private debt and a member of the investment office leadership team at California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), the nation’s largest defined-benefit public pension fund, until her retirement in 2024. 
  • JLL Capital Markets has expanded its debt and equity advisory team with the addition of Nazario Paragano in its Morristown, NJ office. Paragano joins JLL with more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, largely on the ownership/principal side of the industry. Most recently, he served as VP of acquisitions at Winfield Properties.  
  • SitusAMC has promoted Andrew Smith to senior director, head of operations within the company’s Commercial Real Estate Servicing & Asset Management division. Smith joined SitusAMC in 2020 through the acquisition of Cohen Financial and has since played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s servicing strategy.  
  • FirstService Residential promoted Marc Kotler to president of New York City. Kotler’s elevation will position him to continue to expand FirstService’s offerings and growth in New York City. He joined FirstService in 2004. 
  • S3 Capital appointed Michelle Fang as head of marketing and investor relations. She brings more than three decades of experience in marketing, product strategy, and capital formation for global real estate platforms. Previously, she served as senior managing director at Principal Real Estate Investors. 
  • Genna Zaiman has joined Obra Capital, Inc. as managing director, real estate origination. Zaiman will help to expand Obra Real Estate, LLC’s commercial real estate bridge-lending footprint across the U.S., leading new loan originations and managing strategic sponsor relationships. She will be based in New York. 
  • Pritchard Industries, a leading provider of integrated facility and engineering services and a portfolio company of Littlejohn & Co., LLC, appointed Thorsten Koch as CFO and Trent Bowers as chief commercial officer, a newly created role.  Koch brings a global background in corporate finance and operational leadership, having built and led financial teams across North America, Europe and South America. Bowers joins Pritchard with more than three decades of commercial leadership experience, building customer-centered organizations and driving sustained revenue and EBITDA growth.

His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
