  • BTIG appointed Ryan Gilbert as managing director and housing and real estate services analyst within the firm’s research and strategy team. Gilbert joins BTIG from MetLife Investment Management Private Capital, where he served as senior director and was responsible for sourcing, originating and managing single-family rental debt and equity investments. 
  • Lincoln Property Company has named David DiPietro as EVP on its Corporate Advisory & Solutions (CAS) team. Based in New York, DiPietro brings over 15 years of brokerage and advisory experience, most recently serving as vice chairman at Savills. He co-leads the CAS team with Los Angeles-based Corey Davidson, expanding Lincoln’s capabilities in data analytics, financial structuring, asset monetization and strategic planning. 
  • Arrow Real Estate Advisors, a leading real estate finance advisory firm, added Abie Horowitz as a director and Alan Frastai as an analyst. Horowitz focuses on sourcing and structuring debt and equity financing for multifamily properties throughout the Tri-State area. Frastai supports the origination and execution of debt and equity transactions across a diverse range of asset classes, including multifamily, hospitality, industrial, and office.  
  • Skillit, an AI hiring platform for the construction industry, has appointed Jim Watson to its advisory board. With more than 40 years in construction, Watson most recently served as president of Liberty Specialty, affiliated with Suffolk. 
  • The Urban Land Institute New York (ULI NY) announced Scott Rechler, chairman and CEO at RXR, as the recipient of the 2026 Visionary Leadership in Land Use Award. The award will be presented at the Tenth Annual Awards for Excellence in Development Gala on April 29, 2026, at Ziegfeld Ballroom.

Paul Bubny serves as Senior Content Director for Connect Commercial Real Estate, a role to which he brings 16-plus years’ experience covering the commercial real estate industry and 30-plus years in business-to-business journalism. In this capacity, he oversees daily operations while also reporting on both local/regional markets and national trends, covering individual transactions across all property types, as well as delving into broader subject matter. He produces 7-10 daily news stories per day and works with the Connect team and clients to develop longer-form content, ranging from Q&As to thought-leadership pieces. Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
