- Alex Bender has agreed to join Ocean West Capital Partners as managing director of New York. Bender will head OW’s recently established New York office and will focus on expanding investment and advisory opportunities in the city. Bender has more than 15 years of experience investing and managing assets throughout the East Coast with a specific emphasis on New York City.
- Savills promoted Julia Spivack to EVP and general counsel, North America. She will oversee and manage all legal services provided to the company, including the operations of the Legal Department and its engagement with outside counsel. She will advise the firm’s senior executives on legal and strategic matters affecting the organization, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Skanska announced a leadership transition in its U.S. building operations. Leo Sinicin, CFO of both Skanska USA Building and Skanska USA Inc., will retire effective Dec. 31, 2025. Dan DeRooy will succeed Sinicin as CFO for both businesses, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
- SMBC Group appointed Juan (JC) Kreutz as Americas head of structured finance solutions and deputy head for the Americas business. Based in New York, Kreitz will oversee the bank’s structured product businesses, including project finance debt & advisory, real estate finance, leveraged finance, fund finance, transportation, leasing, and global trade finance, while also overseeing SMBC’s Latin America region.
- Professional Women in Construction NY (PWC NY) appointed Katie Nilsen, VP, development & strategy at E-J Electric Installation Co., as president of the board of directors for 2026. Nilsen will lead the board in advancing the organization’s mission of promoting, supporting, and connecting women and diverse professionals across the architecture, engineering, construction and real estate industries.
- Douglas Elliman Realty, LLC appointed Chris Reyes as CTO. Reyes joins Douglas Elliman from Brown Harris Stevens, where he served as CTO. He brings more than two decades of experience innovating enterprise platforms and services in the real estate and financial services sectors.
