- Newmark is introducing a new regional leadership role within its Valuation & Advisory (V&A) service line. As part of this enhanced national structure, Jay F. Booth, MAI, CRE, Norm W. LeZotte, MAI and Rob Vodinelic, MAI, MRICS, have been promoted to regional managing directors of West, South and Midwest/Northeast, respectively, where they will oversee local V&A Market Leaders, implement business growth strategies and optimize operations with an emphasis on client service.
- Amy Heller, a veteran leader in the healthcare finance space, has joined Meridian Capital Group’s senior housing and healthcare group as a senior managing director focusing on healthcare-related debt brokerage. Most recently, she founded and served as president and co-chief lending officer of the Healthcare and Housing and Urban Development lending divisions at Forbright Bank, where she built and led teams responsible for managing nearly $3 billion in healthcare loans.
- Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. announced that Sean Garahan has joined the firm’s expanding roster of attorneys as a member within the transactions department. Graham is regarded as a leading expert in complex real estate finance structures, representing both borrowers and lenders in mortgage, mezzanine, CMBS, construction, and other financings, as well as complicated restructuring and workout arrangements.
- Financial services provider Merchants Capital has added industry veterans Andrew Weil and Justin Ginsberg, both with the title of EVP of originations, to lead its fifth debt sales team nationwide. Weil and Ginsberg have worked together in the affordable housing industry for more than 30 years. At Centerline Capital Group, they led the affordable housing tax credit and debt platform. For the past 12 years, they were the co-heads of the affordable housing agency lending platform at Grandbridge, a subsidiary of Truist Bank.
- RAMSA (Robert A.M. Stern Architects) said Frances Calosso has joined the firm as interior design director. Before joining RAMSA, Calosso held various design leadership roles at notable hospitality-focused firms, including Roman and Williams, Rockwell Group, and Islyn Studio.
- Eliad S. Shapiro, an accomplished commercial litigator known for his deep experience in real estate, has joined Herrick as a partner from Moses & Singer LLP. Shapiro is the third senior addition to Herrick’s litigation practice this year. Prior to joining Herrick, Eliad was also a litigator in the offices of Clifford Chance and Smith & Shapiro.a
- James Lenox House and Carnegie East House, not-for-profit independent and enriched living communities for older adults, will honor two exceptional New Yorkers at its annual Spring Blossoms Gala on Tuesday, April 8 at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. Co-recipients of the 2025 Mary Lenox Sheafe Award are James G. Phillips, AIA, founder and managing executive of TPG Architecture, and Joseph P. Romano, CEO of JRM Construction Management. The gala raises funds to support safe, affordable living at James Lenox House and its sister residence, Carnegie East House.
