  • Savills has appointed Mitti Liebersohn as CEO of brokerage operations for the Tri-State region. He will work alongside David Goldstein, president of the Tri-State region, to oversee financial performance, attract and retain top talent, and align operational strategy with the firm’s long-term goals. 
  • The Hampshire Companies, a full-service, private real estate investment and development firm, named Carolyn Lange CFO. Lange brings more than 30 years of financial and asset management experience to Hampshire, most recently serving as CFO and treasurer for the Community Foundation of New Jersey. 
  • Lorimer Capital, a commercial real estate lending platform, has added Connor Lopes as managing director –asset management. With more than a decade of experience, Lopes will play a key role in managing Lorimer Capital’s growing loan portfolio and optimizing its asset performance. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Citi Community Capital, the nation’s leading affordable housing lender. 
  • Younkins & Schecter LLP, a leading Manhattan-based, women-owned law firm with a dedicated commercial real estate practice, promoted Robert F. Russell to partner. Russell joined the WBENC-New York State and New York City (WBE)-certified firm in 2011 and currently serves as a senior associate.  
  • Marathon Asset Management, a global credit investment manager, announced that Joseph Griffin has become the firm’s newest partner. Griffin, who joined Marathon 12 years ago, will continue to serve as senior portfolio manager for the firm’s commercial real estate business, including loan origination and CMBS trading, while serving on Marathon’s Investment committee.

Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
