- Steven Beyda has joined Newmark as an executive managing director within the company’s Industrial Advisory Group. Based in the Rutherford, NJ office, Beyda will focus on agency leasing and strategic advisory, with a mandate to grow the platform’s institutional footprint. Throughout his brokerage career, Beyda has completed more than 30 million square feet of industrial transactions totaling $3 billion-plus. Most recently, he served as VP of industrial at Woodmont Industrial Partners.
- Cushman & Wakefield has hired Randy Abend as executive managing director, based in the firm’s New York City office. Abend will focus on tenant representation and agency client services throughout the Manhattan office market, as well as national and international account work for larger corporate clients. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Abend spent 23 years with JLL, most recently as a managing director in the New York office.
- Arrow Real Estate Advisors, a real estate finance advisory firm, has expanded its team with the addition of Will Farrell and Porter Thomas as analysts. Farrell most recently worked on the Capital Markets & Loan Sale Advisory team at Hodges Ward Elliott with a focus on hospitality. Thomas previously held positions at Quadrant Real Estate Advisors, where he supported the Originations team, and at Atlanta Property Group, where he focused on industrial acquisitions in the Southeast.
- George L. W. Malkin has joined the board of directors at Empire State Realty Trust. Malkin is president of Malkin Holdings and is the son of Anthony E. Malkin, chairman and CEO of the company, and the grandson of Peter L. Malkin, chairman emeritus.
- Essential Properties Realty Trust, Inc. has elected Kristin L. Smallwood to serve on the company’s board. The board now consists of eight members, seven of whom are independent. Smallwood has nearly 30 years of experience providing audit and audit-related services to large global companies with PwC, where she was a partner from 2006 until her retirement in 2025.
