  • DWS, one of the largest real estate managers in the world with approximately $70 billion under management as of Sept. 30, 2024, across private real estate equity and debt, has hired Scott Arden as managing director and head of Americas real estate specialists. Arden brings more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently as Head of North Americas Distribution at Sentinel. Before that he spent several years at Hodes Weill. He will be based in New York. 
  • Georg Machinist and Matt Brody have joined alternative investment manager Canyon Partners as managing directors leading capital formation efforts. Machinist will serve as head of Americas capital formation and Brody will serve as head of real estate capital formation.  Brody will also serve as a member of the investment committee and management committee for Canyon Partners Real Estate. Both executives will be based in the firm’s New York office. 
  • Denholtz, a leading privately held investment management firm, has hired Jennifer McCool as EVP and head of capital markets. McCool brings over 20 years of commercial real estate investment experience to her new role with Denholtz. She joins Denholtz from Kushner, where she led the day-to-day strategy and execution of Kushner’s investment management platform as EVP. 
  • WINT Water Intelligence, a provider of water management and leak mitigation solutions for construction, commercial, residential and industrial applications, has expanded its board of directors with the appointment of Michael Colacino as chairman. Currently serving as president of JLL’s Tri-State Brokerage, Colacino was previously president at Savills Studley, where he managed one of the largest tenant representation practices in the U.S.  
  • NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co. (NAIDB) of Woodbridge, NJ has hired Christopher J. Chiusolo as VP. The Morris County, NJ resident brings extensive real estate transaction expertise to his new role, which will focus on the sales and leasing of industrial properties. Before joining the NAIDB team, Chiusolo was a director at a New-Jersey based commercial real estate firm specializing in distribution, supply chain management and transportation. 
  • As part of its strategic growth initiative, Woodmont Properties, an owner, developer and manager of multifamily and industrial properties across five U.S. states, has appointed Jon Moore as co-CIO and principal of Woodmont Value-Add Partners, a newly formed division focused on the acquisition of existing value-add multifamily rental properties. In this role, Moore will work alongside Woodmont’s executive team as well as co-CIO David Trager, who is preparing to retire at the end of 2025. Before joining Woodmont, Moore served as president of Urby, a joint venture between Brookfield and Urby Management. 
  • North Bridge ESG LLC, a provider of real estate credit solutions, appointed Caissa Martinez as VP. Martinez will leverage her deep industry relationships with property owners, developers, and key stakeholders to originate new deals while staying ahead of market trends, regulatory developments, and evolving industry dynamics. 
  • Manhasset, NY-based general contractor, construction manager and design/builder Norco Construction promoted Erik Rappel to COO. He most recently served as Norco’s VP of Operations, after originally joining the firm in 2017 as senior project manager. 
  • Skanska USA, a leading global construction and development firm, has launched Skanska Advanced Technology (SAT), a new specialized operating unit focused on high-tech and semiconductor manufacturing. Part of the company’s USA Building business unit, SAT will be led by EVP and general manager Katie Coulson.  
  • The Domain Companies has launched Good Company, an affiliate that will offer a comprehensive slate of vertically integrated pre-development planning, leasing, marketing, and management services in-house. Specializing in developments within New York’s most high-growth neighborhoods, Good Company manages all aspects of a project from pre-development strategy to property management using custom built tools and technologies designed to monitor a wider range of factors than typical at traditional brokerages. 
  • Cohen & Steers, Inc. has launched three fully transparent active ETFs trading on the NYSE Arca. The launch provides advisors and investors with access to the firm’s flagship investment strategies through an active ETF vehicle. The ETFs include: Cohen & Steers Real Estate Active ETF, Cohen & Steers Preferred and Income Opportunities Active ETF and Cohen & Steers Natural Resources Active ETF.

Paul Bubny serves as Senior Content Director for Connect Commercial Real Estate, a role to which he brings 16-plus years’ experience covering the commercial real estate industry and 30-plus years in business-to-business journalism. In this capacity, he oversees daily operations while also reporting on both local/regional markets and national trends, covering individual transactions across all property types, as well as delving into broader subject matter. Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
