  • Hines has made two senior hires to accelerate the growth of its private wealth solutions and institutional capital raising platform across Asia Pacific and the Americas. Hao Zhan joins as Head of Asia, Private Wealth Solutions, based in Hong Kong. He brings over a decade of experience in private wealth, asset management, and investor relations, most recently serving as Head of Asia for Carlyle Global Wealth. Juan Jimenez joins as Head of Institutional Investor Solutions – Americas, based in New York City. With more than 20 years of experience in real estate and capital markets, Jimenez was previously Managing Director at Brookfield’s Global Client Group. 
  • Parkview Financial, an alternative investment firm specializing in U.S. commercial real estate credit, hired Abe Kohn as VP of construction, based in Parkview’s New York office. Kohn brings more than 13 years of experience in the construction of multifamily, industrial, office, and retail real estate development projects. Before joining Parkview, he served as associate director at Gardiner & Theobald, where he led multiple development projects across a variety of sectors. 
  • Buffalo-based JustStorage has appointed Dale Payne as president. Previously, he served as SVP of business development at Self Storage Plus, where he led a team that achieved a 50% increase in growth.  
  • Savills has acquired Hoffman, a leading move management consultancy, along with Compustall Services, Inc., a technology relocation services provider. The acquisition of both companies marks a continued expansion of the firm’s integrated service platform, providing clients with a single solution for planning and executing complex workplace transitions across sectors and geographies, according to Savills.  
  • Caesars Palace Times Square, in partnership with award-winning actor and producer Wendell Pierce, announced a $10-million investment to launch and sustain the New York Coalition of Legacy Theatres of Color Fund, a 501(c)3, to support theaters and ensembles focused on telling the stories of New York’s communities of color while combatting the longstanding funding inequities they face. In addition, Caesars Palace Times Square will cross-promote and market the legacy theaters through its Caesars Rewards database of 65 million members via the Caesars Rewards app, and onsite at its proposed gaming and entertainment destination.

Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
