  • Taconic Partners, a vertically integrated real estate development firm based in New York, welcomes Sheldon Pariser as EVP to lead the firm’s expansion into acquiring multifamily rental opportunities throughout the Southeast and Texas. This new initiative builds on Taconic’s track record in New York and the Tri-State Area, where the firm has developed or repositioned more than 7,300 residences. 
  • Parkview Financial, an alternative investment firm specializing in U.S. commercial real estate credit, hired Abe Kohn as VP of construction. Based in New York, Kohn oversees projects in the Northeast region, managing construction progress on loans, leading risk assessments and monitoring project performance. 
  • Newmark said appraisers Michael Garcia, MAI, Robert E. Porto, MAI and John Feeney have joined the firm’s Valuation & Advisory practice as EVPs, based in the company’s New York headquarters. The company said the trio deepens its bench of senior talent focused on multifamily and mixed‑use assets across the NYC Metro area and nationally. 
  • Newmark also announced the company has hired Jessica Morin as head of national occupier research. In the newly created role, Morin will lead thought leadership and research initiatives focused on occupier behavior, labor market dynamics and macroeconomic trends. 
  • JLL hired Brian Rappaport as the financial procurement and advisory practice lead for JLL’s Energy Advisory and Sustainability team. Based in New York, he will leverage his more than 20 years of experience in energy infrastructure development, structured origination, and renewable energy solutions to assist investor and occupier clients with their strategic planning, energy sourcing, contracting, cleantech integration and infrastructure development. 
  • Greystone Real Estate Capital, a national tax credit syndicator and subsidiary of Greystone Select Incorporated, has closed Greystone Affordable Housing Fund I LP, a $103-million multi-investor Low-Income Housing Tax Credit fund. The fund will support the development and preservation of nearly 1,000 affordable housing units across 11 properties in six states.  
  • Bluerock Value Exchange, a 20-year, national sponsor of 1031 exchange and Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) investment programs, has fully subscribed BR Diversified Industrial Portfolio V, DST with $36.7 million in equity from individual investors. The unlevered DST offering includes a two-state (North and South Carolina), two-property industrial sector portfolio comprised of approximately 255,000 square feet of combined critical manufacturing, warehouse and outdoor storage and distribution properties.     
  • Vornado Realty Trust is furthering its commitment to creating human-centered workplaces with the addition of a Work&Mother Suite at 1290 Ave. of the Americas. The newly outsourced, fully serviced mother’s room will debut in October 2025. The announcement coincides with National Breastfeeding Month and National Wellness Month.
