  • Colliers announced that James Marcellino has re-joined the firm’s New York office as VP. With more than 17 years of experience advising institutional owners, landlords and occupiers, Marcellino has helped maximize value across some of the city’s most prominent office portfolios. Previously, he served as VP of Leasing at L&L Holding Company, where he led leasing strategy across a 6.3 million-square-foot portfolio. 
  • Greenberg Traurig, LLP has expanded its Global Real Estate Practice with the addition of Brian Helweil as a shareholder in its New York office. Helweil joins from Loeb & Loeb LLP, where he represented owners, developers, investors, landlords, and tenants in a broad range of real estate transactions. 
  • Montroy Architecture appointed Leila Colbert, RA, LEED AP as Principal, following the firm’s merger with Colbert’s design studio Leila Colbert Architecture. Colbert joins Montroy following a 15-year career that spans executive leadership, design and project management positions at architectural, real estate development and K-12 education organizations. 
  • Tarter Krinsky & Drogin announced the continued expansion of its Real Estate Practice with the arrival of partners Nahum Palefski and Melissa Bassin in the firm’s New York office. Joining from Moses & Singer, Palefski and Bassin bring more than three decades of combined experience representing institutional investors, developers, financial institutions, corporate occupiers and high-net-worth individuals in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including significant acquisitions, dispositions, financings and leasing matters. 
  • Almanac Realty Investors, the private real estate arm of Neuberger, a global investment manager, has committed $250 million of growth capital to Stamford, CT-based AmCap Ventures, a privately-held, vertically-integrated real estate company founded in 1979. The growth capital will be used with the goal of accelerating AmCap’s  strategy of acquiring grocery-anchored and necessity retail shopping centers across top-tier U.S. metropolitan markets. 
  • VSS Capital Partners , a leading middle market focused private investment firm specializing in flexible capital solutions for founder-led businesses, has completed a significant growth investment in Cordoba, LLC., one of the nation’s recognized leaders in engineering, construction and program management serving municipalities, public agencies and institutional customers across the Pacific Coast. Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed. 
  • Insula Capital Group, a nationwide private real estate lender, today announced the launch of its Bridge-to-DSCR platform, an integrated financing solution designed to support investors purchasing, improving, leasing, or repositioning transitional rental properties. The platform creates a clearer financing path from a short-term bridge loan to long-term Debt Service Coverage Ratio financing, according to Insula Capital.
