  • Stonehenge Investment promoted Bashir Elmegaryaf to managing director and head of acquisitions and Evan Silver to managing director and head of asset management. Before joining Stonehenge, Elmegaryaf served as assistant VP of acquisitions and development at Equity Residential. Silver previously worked at a real estate private equity investment manager, closing more than $500 million in transactions. 
  • Convene Hospitality Group (CHG), the parent company of leading lifestyle hospitality brands including Convene, NeueHouse, etc.venues and a portfolio of premium event spaces, appointed Jonathan Ojany as chief financial & operating officer (CFOO). Ojany joins CHG from KFC U.S., where he served as chief strategy, transformation and financial officer, leading a multibillion-dollar business through a period of modernization and growth, including the strategic relocation of its headquarters to Dallas. 
  • Newmark Group, Inc. has hired Philip O’Bannon, a seasoned infrastructure capital markets professional with more than 20 years of experience spanning investment banking and engineering, as senior managing director to lead its Infrastructure Capital Markets business. He will be responsible for expanding Newmark’s advisory and capital raising capabilities across the full infrastructure investment spectrum, with a focus on data centers, power and utilities, energy transition and other large-scale infrastructure sectors. 
  • Newmark has also appointed Eric Brown as Americas head of project management. In this role, Brown will lead project management across the U.S., Canada and Latin America, advancing the continued growth, integration and operational consistency of Newmark’s Occupier Solutions business. He joins from Turner & Townsend, where he led Project Management Advisory Services in New York City and New Jersey. 
  • North River Partners, a New York-based real estate credit platform focused on originating and managing construction and bridge loans for multifamily and workforce housing developments nationwide, has hired Tyler Riese as director of asset management, James Goettee as VP of originations and Chris Pompeo as originations analyst. The hires reflect North River Partners’ continued investment across the full lifecycle of its lending platform as deal flow increases across key U.S. markets. 
  • Tarter Krinsky & Drogin announced that Michael T. Contos has joined the firm as a Partner in its nationally ranked Construction Practice. With a practice spanning both litigation and transactional matters, Contos counsels clients through all phases of real estate projects, from contract negotiation and project planning through dispute resolution.
