New York City’s Hottest Neighborhood Revealed: New Research From PropertyShark

East New York will continue to be the hottest neighborhood in New York City, according to the 2018 Market Predictions Survey of real estate pros by PropertyShark. Over the past five years, median sale prices for condos, co-ops and houses in the neighborhood increased 55%.

However, it is not clear how long speedy price appreciation can last. More than half (57%) of respondents say that the city’s real estate market will shift to a buyer’s market in 2018. More than half (54%) also say that NYC is now in in a real estate bubble.

Other top 10 neighborhoods include #2 Bushwick, #3 Harlem and #4 Mott Haven.

“Brooklyn dominates the list of top hottest neighborhoods once again, with five out of the 10 markets being located in the borough,” said Andra Rus of PropertyShark.
