New Year’s Eve in Dallas: Bright Lights, Big Booms

New Year’s Eve celebrations are televised annually in the Eastern and Pacific time zones. But Hunt Realty Investments, Reunion Tower Operations Co. LLC and AT&T want the Central time zone to get into the act.

The result will be the second annual AT&T Streaming Lights at Reunion Tower, consisting of an eight-minute celebratory firework show that will take place on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017 at Reunion Tower near downtown Dallas. Hunt Realty owns the tower, and Reunion Tower Operations Manages it.

The show, which will begin at 11:59 p.m. central time, will treat viewers to a 360-degree, panoramic fireworks display, fired from 560 feet above ground. The display will feature more than 4,000 pyrotechnic special effects, and will be televised by Nextstar Media Group Inc., in conjunction with NBC Dallas television affiliate KXAS-TV.
