CRE Ideas Abound at Tech’s Lollapalooza
Six real estate tech start-ups showcased ideas to more than 100 investors and executives at the sold-out Metaprop Demo Day — a Lollapalooza for new property technology companies — Jan. 27 at the World Trade Center.
One presenter was Susannah Vila, who introduced her company, Flip, the first peer-to-peer website to help apartment tenants sublet rooms or whole apartments. “Release the lease,” she said. “Flip is the easiest way to sublet or get out of your lease.”
“Our ‘Sensational Six Startups’ have excited the PropTech world with their growth and tech savvy, having already attracted several serious acquisition inquiries and multiple new funding, even before presenting their companies on Demo Day,” said Aaron Block, co-founder and managing director of MetaProp NYC.
