The development team of Blue Star Land (Jerry Jones-owned company) and Lincoln Property are into their third phase of the Gates Of Prosper development. Phase three will be anchored by a 136,000 sqquare foot Target store, which is slated for its opening next month. In addition, the final phase will include a mix of restaurants, retail and a hotel. A Home2 Suites is expected to break ground next year.

The completion of “phase two” comprised such names as Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, Michael’s, Kohl’s, Calloway’s and Spec’s located on the northwest corner of Preston Road and Richland Boulevard.

Longer range plans include a convention center and a convention-sized hotel.

Work also continues to bring multifamily development to the project, with over 600 apartments in the pipeline.
