New 94,267 sq ft U-Haul coming to Amarillo

New Self-Storage Facility Going Up in Amarillo

Dallas-based MYCON General Contractors has begun construction on a new three-story, 94,267 square-foot moving truck, trailer and self-storage rental facility in Amarillo. The project will be a U-Haul branded facility.

The new building will be a 83,000 square feet tilt-wall structure with 11,267 square feet of attached U-Box storage. The new building will feature 781 storage lockers of various sizes.

“U-Haul is enjoying success in Amarillo and other markets across Texas thanks to substantial residential growth and increased demand for our self-storage products,” said U-Haul’s Matt Merrill. Construction is expected to be completed in December of 2022.
