New Model Apartments at 180 Water

Ten new model apartments opened at 180 Water St., an apartment tower in the Financial District of Manhattan, redeveloped by Metro Loft Developers.

Built as offices and converted in 2017, the 575 apartments in the 29-story tower began leasing in February. Rents have averaged $4,045 a month, according to StreetEasy. The new model units at the building should help it attract residents, despite a crowded market for luxury apartments.

“Research has shown that most people are not able to fully visualize the capacity and potential of a vacant space. Therefore, it’s important to show them very clearly what they can do, especially in urban settings, where space is at a premium and every inch counts,” said Andrew Bowen, staging director at real estate development and design firm ASH NYC.
