New Marriott Okayed in Downtown SA
A new Residence Inn by Marriott is looking increasingly certain. Merritt Development and Peachtree Group have received key approvals from various San Antonio planning agencies and are looking to break ground on the extended-stay hotel this fall. The project, at 100 N. Main, is expected to cost $58 million to build and will be completed in 2026. It’s going up on a .4 acre parcel.
The 10-story hotel will include 171 guest rooms, a small outdoor courtyard, and hotel amenities such as a meeting space, fitness room and rooftop pool and terrace.
The property will also feature a retail component comprised of a coffee shop on the ground floor.
Merritt Development Group (MDG), based in Austin, is a privately owned merchant hotel development company specializing in the development of urban hotels typically affiliated with Hilton and Marriott throughout the United States.
