New Lobby Unveiled at 1345 Ave of the Americas
Fisher Brothers has completed its renovation of the lobby and entrance at 1345 Ave of the Americas, a 50-story, two-million-square-foot office tower in Midtown Manhattan.
“Fisher Brothers’ goal was to extend the openness and light of the Park down the Sixth Avenue corridor and up through the entrance of the building,” said a spokeperson for Fisher to Connect Media.
The redesign by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill replaced the previous white and tan marble, raised the ceiling height to 20 feet, extended the main entrance facing Sixth Avenue by 10.5 feet, and installed a 58-foot wide, glass wall with color-changing LED programming behind the security desk, drenching the lobby in color.
The new lobby is part of a $65 million renovation. Upcoming plans include an amenity center designed by the Rockwell Group and a new plaza.
