Healthcare provider the New Jewish Home will fill 49,739 square feet at the Hutchinson Metro Center in the Bronx.

“This deal is yet another example of the Hutch Metro Center’s being the destination of choice for major service providers and office tenants in the Bronx,” said James MacDonald, vice president of leasing for building owner Simone Development.

The Center is also home to Montefiore Hospital, Visiting Nurse Services, Affinity Health Systems and Mercy College. The New Jewish Home will move into 1200 Waters Place, a 460,000 square-foot building at the 1.4 million-square-foot Center. Cushman & Wakefield represented The New Jewish Home in the transaction.

“The physical design will support a diverse array of programs, including programs for the very frail, the cognitively impaired, and those needing rehab,” said Audrey Weiner, president and CEO of the New Jewish Home, one of the largest nonprofit health and rehabilitation systems for seniors in the U.S.
